The Mighty Mighty ‘live’
The Mighty Mighty is the house band of Pushin’On, continuing a timeless tradition of funk nights around the world such as Motherfunk and Breakin’ Bread. Now a 7-piece fronted by Masterpiece, the Mighty Mighty features some of the funkiest young musicians around. The Mighty Mighty hits the 3rd floor of Blu Jaz with 2 sets of funk, soul and R&B.
Tonight, the Mighty Mighty debuts fresh new covers high on the funky scale. They’ll be speeding up a shoulder-shaker from Vicki Anderson and turning it into a furious, Latin floor-burner. There will also be a debut cover of the Quantic Soul Orchestra jam that inspired Pushin’On. As far as we know, it’s the first time in Singapore anybody’s done it.
