Stew has been digging deep the past few years and he makes his Pushin’On debut right after the Mighty Mighty. Get ready for some fresh funk on the percussive end of the rainbow. Shellsuit and Paulsilver continue their new residency at kyo. Proper hip hop and r&b all night from 9pm onwards. Plus DJ Chunk joins NDC at The Mansion, a new space over at Pacific Plaza with some seriously big sound! Going back to the classic Pushin’On sound with deep funk, rap and boogie in the mix.

Masia One + DJ Autograph
Masia One makes her sophomore appearance at Pushin’On in support of her Bootleg Culture album with DJ Autograph. Masia’s musical journey has brought her to Canada, the US and Jamaica and she brings with her a preview of her ‘live’ album slated for a 2013 release.

Autograph has Dj’d in Philadelphia, New York City, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Jamaica. He’s also worked with many DJs such as Funkmaster Flex, Kid Capri, Max Glazer, Craig G, DJ Playtime, and Spinbad to name a few. He’s also constantly on innovating through his Serato Video sets, giving a true musical journey each time.

The Mighty Mighty ‘live’
Singapore’s toughest funk band returns to the Pushin’On stage after a songwriting break and tonight you get the full preview of their EP slated for release on 15th Mar. Hear singles of the EP such as Love Televised, I’m Telling You Why and The Deal Is Off. So you don’t have to wait for the record.

Ayes One
Hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden, Ayes One is one of the founders of Club Scratch together with The Swedish Gangsta and DJ Jam. Scratch Gothenburg started in 2002 and is a sister club to Scratch in London which was started six years earlier by Matt Smooth and Richy Pitch. Scratch Gothenburg has supported acts such as People Under the Stairs, Breakestra, Jurassic 5, DJ Craze, DJ Cash Money, DJ Format, Mr Thing, De La Soul, KRS-1, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings. Expect to hear a fair share of 80′s and 90′s hip-hop, old and new funk, breaks and afro funk/disco.

Hip Hop Film Screenings
The celebration begins on Monday 19th November with film screenings curated by Dave Code. 2 films every week for you to get to know this cultural phenomenon called hip hop. Screenings start at 7pm and are free entry. Here’s the schedule;

Ollie’Des
For over a decade, Ollie’Des has shook hundred of dancefloors with his tasteful selections and funky turntablism. After cutting his chops in DJ competitions in the early 2000’s (including twice finalist for Singapore DMC), he went on to play across the region, opening for concerts by Urban Exchange, Triple Noize, Sleeq, Komrad, Sheikh Haikel, Too Phat and Ruff Edge.

Them Double O days may be over but we’ve wanted to book this cat for a LOOONNG time. This is his Pushin’On debut so you best be on the floor.

DJ Ritz
DJ Ritz has been blazing the local party scene with his diverse style of entertainment since the 2000s. He reads the floor like a psychic and cuts records like a Ginsu. He is known for spinning eclectic sets that can go soul to hip-hop, funk to dubstep and breaks to moombahton. Tonight, Ritz returns to the roots that has made him a top contender in DJ battles since 2002.

Funk Bastard is Dean Chew; waxmeister, baller and co-label owner of Darker Than Wax (with producer, Kaye). My Hero is Jordan Bates; landscape architect by day, crate digger by night and he’s also really tall.

Sarah Love (UK)
Rounding off a highly successful 2011 as the official tour DJ for Aloe Blacc, DJ Sarah Love’s reputation as the “1st Lady Of Hip Hop” began in her early days as DJ for London’s renowned “Kung Fu” parties, and on the city’s underground radio stations.

The DJ reputation Sarah built at home, led to touring across five continents, building her position as one of the leading international Hip Hop club DJs around. Noteworthy given the male dominance that exists in the music industry.

In 2007 she joined the BBC’s urban music specialist station 1Xtra to present the “Friday Night Hip Hop Mix Show” and their “Weekend Wake-Up Show”. The prestige of being the BBC’s main Hip Hop DJ — and one of the few female specialists in broadcasting — further established her name globally, and the station enjoyed a larger worldwide audience as a result.

MTV Europe appointed Sarah their official — and only — female VJ for the Base Network, broadcasting to over 60 countries worldwide. As well as presenting her own monthly show “Good Look”, Sarah also interviewed international stars on Trevor Nelson’s “The Lick”, “Spanking New Music” and worked with the NFL Stateside on “NFL Touchdown”.

Sarah was instrumental in the launch of the continents’ now successful “MTV Africa” channel, and has also toured worldwide as an official “MTV Soundsystem DJ”.

In 2009, Sarah was nominated “Best DJ” at the internationally renowned MOBO Awards. This was her second time to receive such recognition and Sarah is the only female to have ever been nominated in this category.

Sarah has worked in clubs and on radio and TV in the US, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa. She regularly features in urban music magazines and can count names such as The Roots, Wu-Tang Clan, KRS-1 as some of the artists she’s shared a stage with.

Recent interviews include, Flavour Magazine, Streets on Demand, In-Spirels Magazine, Kix Magazine, Raw Talk and Take the Stage (links below). A new filmed interview with internationally quoted online publication, The Hip Hop Chronicle, will be broadcast early in the new year.

With plans for new club nights, broadcasting, music releases, international tours and more, 2012 should prove another big year for the “One Woman Wrecking Machine”.

Hip-hop beats are his favourite weapons on the decks. You may have heard him playing a Dilla set at Panoptkn in early 2012. You can also follow him online weekly when he drops hip-hop instrumentals on sonar.sg. We first knew him as this friendly dude who takes pictures. On this night, he will be the friendly dude who drops hip-hop bombs.

My Hero (Asheville, NC. USA)
For a solid gold decade, DJ My Hero has been rocking clubs and underground parties in the US and abroad with his heady mix of boogie, soul, disco, and funk. Desired by women, envied by men, My Hero wants just one thing: for YOU to get down.
